Just got a “dispute received” or “chargeback” email from Stripe or Shopify? Paste it (or the dispute details from your dashboard) below. We find the reason code or category, amount and evidence due date, and link you to the matching evidence checklist.
Open the dispute in the Stripe Dashboard (Payments → Disputes). Stripe shows a dispute category such as "fraudulent" or "product not received"; the network reason code, when available, appears in the dispute details. Notification emails often contain only the category.
Stripe and Shopify both say the response window is usually 7 to 21 days depending on the card network. The exact due date is shown on the dispute in your dashboard; Shopify treats a date with no time as 11:59 PM in your store timezone.
No. The decoder runs entirely in your browser. Only an anonymous event recording which category was detected is sent to us.

DisputeDesk provides general information and document preparation help. It is not legal advice, and we do not guarantee any dispute outcome — the card issuer decides. Reason-code names and rules change; always check the dispute details in your Stripe or Shopify dashboard and the card network's current rules.
