Visa 10.4: Other Fraud — Card-Absent Environment

What it means: The cardholder says they did not authorize or take part in this card-not-present transaction.

Visa Compelling Evidence 3.0 may apply: if you can show two prior undisputed transactions from the same card 120–365 days before the dispute that share matching data (IP address and/or device ID, plus other identifiers) with the disputed transaction, the dispute may be resolved in your favor. Check Stripe's dispute page for whether your transaction qualifies.

How to respond: Show that the legitimate cardholder made (or benefited from) the purchase: matching identity signals, delivery to their address, prior undisputed history, and usage.

Stripe usually labels this dispute as: fraudulent (check the reason shown on your dispute — Stripe maps network codes to its own categories).
